witty, chaotic, bubbly, sweet and just adorable

Lindsey Kelk is a must around Christmas, that’s why I was really excited to hear about this short story and we are back with the lovely and adorable characters from the I Heart series.
If you have read The I Heart series you know Angela pretty well and of course her best friend Jenny. This time it’s Jenny’s turn to tell the story. Jenny is the best friend a girl could wish for and she is determined to make Christmas really special for her friends Angela and Erin. Angela is not in the festive mood at all, because her husband Alex is on turn with his band and he won’t make it for Christmas.
In Erin’s ski cabin she prepares everything, but them the power is gone, the food is not delivered and the tree is way too big! Can Jenny still save Christmas?!
It was awesome to join Jenny in all this drama and fun! She is such a bubbly and amazing character and Lindsey’s funny and unique writing adds an extra spark to the whole story. When a man comes to her rescue everything gets more interesting of course. Mason is not her type at all, but…
And since this other guy only answered her text with a THX she can move forward right?!
This story is witty, chaotic, bubbly, sweet and just adorable. The friendship goes over everything else and I LOVED LOVED LOVED the surprise Jenny had for Angela in the end!!!
This is the perfect funny feel good book. It gets you into the christmas mood immediately and the scenes are just so full of detail and glimmer. The brilliant writing makes you feel part of the story, never wanting to leave it again.

I love Jenny

When Lindsey Kelk announced early this year that she was writing her second novella from Jenny's point of view I was over the moon. I love the I Heart series and I feel like Angie, Alex, Jenny and the gang are already part of my group of friends so it is lovely to catch up with them. Jenny is one of my favourite characters, she is so strong and determinated and always ready to help her friends but then, at the same time she is vulnerable and deserves to be properly loved and as we know from all the up and downs in her love history during the series, she hasn't found her prince charming yet (and not even close).
In this short story we find Jenny at her best. Tired of this crap year, she is determined to give the best Christmas ever to her friends and she is ready to go to any lenghts to achieve it. She finds herself in the most hilarious situations, it's incredible how Lindsey makes me laugh out loud so easily. I love the humour she injects in her stories and I feel like Jenny and Lindsey share an especial chemistry. I am sure a full length book about Jenny would be amazing.
I devoured this story in one evening and the smile never left my face. This is the perfect story to make you feel festive even if you don't want and I am sure that by the end of it you will want to hug your kindly (as I did, for at least ten minutes...) and wish that Jenny was your best friend for the uptenth time.

Another fun Christmas story from Lindsey Kelk

All Jenny Lopez wants is a great Christmas (and maybe a boyfriend and definitely even more killer clothes), but her best friend Angie is blue--Alex and his band are on tour in Japan, so Angie (who loves Christmas) isn't in the mood to celebrate. And Jenny's in a but of a slump herself--her ex-boyfriend is now married and Jenny still longs to meet someone who will set her heart (and maybe even her credit card limit) on fire. An invitation to spend Christmas at her boss's house in the countryside sounds like just the way to solve her problems.
Jenny Lopez Saves Christmas is like one of those perfect pieces of Christmas chocolate. You love it and you wish it wouldn't end. That's exactly how I felt as I read it--I wanted to stay in wintry upstate New York with Jenny, Sadie, Angie and the gang and spend a wacky, garrulous Christmas with them. And I definitely want to know more about Joseph Davies (he of Black Amex Card and stellar good looks) and Mason (the hunk with the beard who comes to the rescue).
Lindsey, you know how to hook us! Loved it! :D
